We look for projects that are innovative, sustainable and female-focused. Our current portfolio includes the following organizations in the Boston area. If you would like to partner with us, contact us at info@investherfoundation.org.
Science Club for Girls connects girls in grades K-12, especially those from underrepresented groups, with female mentor-scientists through free science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) programs.
Science Club for Girls is relaunching in 2019 with an updated mission and expanded programming. InvestHer Foundation is funding an Executive Director, assisting with strategic planning, and leading the effort to streamline collaboration with other Boston-based nonprofits.
Boys & Girls Clubs of Boston (BGCB) helps young people build strong character and realize their full potential as responsible citizens and leaders.
InvestHer Foundation is developing and funding supplemental programming for girls at BGCB, as well as spearheading an initiative to increase the participation of girls at the Mattapan Teen Center.
Hope and Comfort helps children and young adults in need stay healthy and feel dignified by providing them with essential personal hygiene products such as soap, shampoo, and toothpaste.
Among underserved women and girls, there is a significant unmet demand for feminine hygiene products, resulting in several missed days of school or work per month. InvestHer Foundation identified reliable and economical sources of these products, committed to funding their purchase, and partnered with Hope and Comfort for redistribution to pantries, Boys and Girls Clubs and other organizations in the Boston area.
Girls on the Run (GOTR) Greater Boston inspires K-8 girls to be joyful, healthy and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum which creatively integrates running.
InvestHer Foundation introduced GOTR Greater Boston to a large and local potential flagship sponsor and helped craft their sponsorship pitch. In addition, we are funding GOTR’s expansion to additional program sites and helping them extend their reach to a wider range of girls.
The Red Sox Foundation, the official charity of the Boston Red Sox, harnesses the passion of Red Sox Nation to make a difference in the lives of children, veterans, families and communities throughout New England.
InvestHer Foundation is collaborating with the Red Sox Foundation’s Reviving Baseball in Inner-Cities (RBI) program, which organizes and runs free baseball and softball leagues in parks throughout Boston, to identify sports-based leadership and empowerment initiatives for girls.
Budget Buddies helps low-income women become more economically self-sufficient and transform their lives by teaching them core money-management skills and pairing them with personal financial coaches.
InvestHer Foundation is assisting with Budget Buddies’ expansion into Boston by introducing them to potential donors and identifying promising class venues.
Rosie’s Place provides a safe and nurturing environment that helps poor and homeless women maintain their dignity, seek opportunity and find security in their lives.
InvestHer Foundation introduced Rosie’s Place to Budget Buddies (mentioned above), which is establishing financial literacy programs at their Women’s Education Center, and connected them with Hope and Comfort (also mentioned above) to provide much needed feminine hygiene products.
